Holiday Cottages - Booking Terms and Conditions
Please read the following, if there is
something you then need to discuss please do so,
we will do our best to be flexible.
It is the responsibility of the person who has booked the
accommodation to ensure that all the guests in their party
are aware of and accept the Terms and Conditions and the
obligations contained therein.
The Owners reserve the right to cancel a booking without
compensation or refund should guests not comply with the
Terms and Conditions outlined below.
The number of persons in the
cottage should not exceed the maximum occupancy number -
this being 6 persons per cottage.
Arrival and Departure
Bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday, but shorter stays
and longer lets may be available please enquire. The Cottage will be available from 3 pm on the day of arrival and guests
are asked to vacate it by 10 am on the day of their departure.
Bookings and Payment
No contract shall exist until signed Booking Form and a
non-returnable deposit of £50 has been
received. Your booking will then be confirmed by e-mail and receipts will be
given on arrival. Having paid the deposit the hirer is
then responsible for paying in total the agreed price
for the booked period.
The Balance of the total amount is payable 4 weeks prior to
the date of arrival. Please note you may loose your Booking and
Deposit if the Balance is not paid on time - No reminder
will be sent. Provisional bookings can be made by telephone
provided that the deposit is received within 5 days. If the booking is
made less than one month before the start of the holiday the full amount is
due. All bookings must be made by people 18 years or over.
Payments can be made by cheque made payable to D R & T A
Flower or if you wish to pay by Bank Transfer or
International Bank Transfer please let me know and I will
provide you with the relevant sort code and account number
(If you have booked via holiday lettings their
payment/booking and cancellation conditions etc apply)
Guests are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance
- please let me know if you require this and I will gladly
post it to you. Look on line at
unfortunate event of you having to cancel your holiday,
please notify us by telephone immediately, followed by
written confirmation. We will make every effort to
re-let the cottage (if successful we only keep the
non-refundable deposit of £50 to cover administration costs) but, should we be unsuccessful, the
following will apply:-
cancellation within two weeks of the commencement of your
holiday, the whole amount will be forfeited.
cancellation within 2 to 4 weeks of the commencement of your
holiday, two thirds of the total holiday cost will be forfeited
and any balance will be returned to you. Upon cancellation
more than 4 weeks before the commencement of your holiday,
the deposit will be retained to cover administration costs.
In the event of a cancellation
by us, our liability shall be limited to the return in full
of all monies paid.
The hirer is expected to leave the cottage in the same
clean and tidy condition as found on arrival. Charges
will be made for a cottage left
excessively dirty. Any damage/breakages etc should be
reported straight away. Breakages of a minor nature
will not normally be charged for. We reserve the
right, however, to charge for any damage, losses or
additional cleaning required, however caused. Immediate
payment from the guest will be required to cover any such

provided and must be used on the beds where necessary.
Damaged mattresses will be charged for.
Well behaved dogs are welcome (by
prior arrangement only) in their own basket/bed in the
kitchen – bearing in mind the comfort of other guests that
follow they should not be allowed in the sitting room or on
the furniture. Naturally they should not be allowed in the
bedrooms. On no occasion should a dog be left unattended in
the cottage unless in a cage in the kitchen. Please bring a
bed and towels for your dog and vacuum up any dog hairs
before departure. Any dog waste must be collected and
disposed of correctly. Thank you. There is an
additional charge of £10 per dog.
Other small pets may be welcome by
prior arrangement only.
The Owner is not responsible
for death or any injury to guests or third parties, for loss
or damage to their belongings, cars or contents, or any
other personal possessions.
In the event of
guest misbehaviour or other necessary cause, we reserve the
right to terminate the let without refund.
We respect your
privacy, but reserve the right, with prior notice whenever
possible, to enter the property at a reasonable time for
emergency maintenance repair or other needs.
The owners reserve
the right to cancel a booking without compensation or refund

Our aim is
for you to have an enjoyable stay at Gateham Grange.
Should you have cause for a complaint, please let us
know immediately and we will do all we can to help.
It is difficult to investigate any complaint after
you have left the cottage and it is unlikely that
any such complaints can be accepted or resolved at
the end of the hire period or after you have
Alstonefield Camping Barn - Booking Terms and
booking has been entered into on the understanding that

Camping Barn is a suitable venue for walkers, cyclists,
scouts, school groups etc - it is not suited to
customers behaving in an anti-social fashion will be
asked to leave without refund. We reserve the right to
repossess the barn at any time where damage has been
caused or in our opinion is likely to be caused by the
hirer or any member of the hirer's party. In such cases
we will not be liable to make any refund.
Personal Safety and Behaviour - We do not accept
responsibility for damages or loss including accident or
injury arising from the use of the barn.
Charges will be made for any damage caused to the barn
or its contents
